R.I.P. Fashion Genius, Alexander McQueen

What other designer could take plaid (tartan) and make it look this amazing? None. None, other than the fashion genius, Alexander McQueen. When I started going through my emails this morning, I thought that I had misread the breaking news headline from WWD. So I clicked on it and it was still saying the same thing - "Alexander McQueen commits suicide." I was blown. So I started googling his name and there is was again and again - "McQueen found dead in his London home." My heart was very sad. He was an amazing designer. If you are not familiar with his designs, check out his collection on Style.com

No posts today in honor of the one and only, Alexander McQueen. R.I.P.

Eco-Beautiful Weddings Mag Launch

I was fortunate to be invited to the launch of the beautiful Eco-Beautiful Weddings Magazine in NYC last week. The magazine is the brainchild of Katie Martin who is one of the world’s leading eco-friendly wedding experts. She has owned and operated Elegance & Simplicity, Inc. since 1998. Her firm has designed 1000’s of eco-friendly events and has been heralded internationally by magazines, newspapers, blogs and other forms of media. So it was a natural progression for the woman who has been merging eco-friendly and weddings for over 12 years to pull it all together in this gorgeous magazine. Hats off to you Katie and the entire Eco-Beautiful Weddings Magazine staff. Looking forward to Issue #2.
