BRIDAL CONTEST: Carolee and The Knot Partner For The Dream Wedding Contest

Leading fashion jewelry company CAROLEE has announced the launch of a major spring bridal promotion featuring a Dream Wedding contest valued at $40,000, in partnership with The Knot. The contest will run from February 17 through March 15 and can be entered online at The Knot's Carolee-Dream-Wedding. Everyone who enters will receive a printable certificate that can be redeemed for a pair of crystal solitaire hairpins at the Carolee counter at any Bloomingdale’s store in the US.

The grand prize will consist of: a wedding designed by celebrity wedding planner Bronson Van Wyck of Van Wyck & Van Wyck at the Empire Hotel in Manhattan; designer bridal and bridesmaids gowns from Amsale; Carolee jewelry for the entire bridal party; bridal hairstyling and makeup from Bumble and Bumble and Bobbi Brown; flowers for the bridal party by Florisan; wedding photographer and videographer by Dream Life Wedding; tabletop appliances from KitchenAid; china from Wedgwood and a honeymoon at Couples Resorts in Jamaica. Others supporting the event include Gotham Liquors, and others to come.

The contest will be promoted in the spring issue of The Knot magazine, online at TheKnot.com and at Carolee counters in Bloomingdale’s stores throughout the country. It will also be supported by The Registry at Bloomingdale’s through Registry packages and a special event for brides at the 59th Street store on March 10.

To enter the Dream Wedding Contest, a bride-to-be will need to submit a photo of her fiancé and herself and a brief essay about the moment she knew she’d found “the one.” Entries will be judged by a panel of bridal experts and narrowed down to five finalists who will be asked to submit a video and will be voted on by The Knot readers. The prize wedding will be featured in a two-page editorial in the fall issue of The Knot magazine.

In support of the contest, Carolee and The Registry at Bloomingdale’s will host an all-day event for brides in the first floor meeting space at the 59th Street store on March 10. Brides will receive a 45-minute personal consultation on bridal jewelry from Carolee, hair from Bumble and Bumble and makeup from Bobbi Brown, as well as meeting with a representative from The Registry. In the evening from 6-8, Rebecca Dolgin, Executive Editor of the Knot, will be there to give brides expert advice on wedding planning. To schedule an appointment, call 212-705-2918.
