I love the "Hostess with the Mostess" blog (www.hostessblog.com). It is a daily read for me. She posted last week about the Bridal Bar Boutique in LA. It states on their web site that the Bridal Bar "is a boutique that supplies a complimentary peek at the pre-screened best of the best in the wedding industry. The founders have searched high and low to compile an extensive group of event professionals who have been cordially invited to display their works based on style, experience, and impeccable reputation in their fields of expertise." The boutique was started by Harmony Walton, a former editor at Inside Wedding magazine (one of my favorite bridal magazines). She saw a need to educate brides beyond what they could find in the magazine. You can find more information about the Bridal Bar on their web site at:

I saw this yesterday on advertsing/design goodness blog and I was blown away. As an invitation designer, you have to just appreciate the absolute brilliance of this wedding invitation. He removed the dot over the "I" from "Claire" on the first page to spell "Dave" on the second page. The invitation was created by Chris MacLean, a designer from the UK. You can view his portfolio at:

I received an email today from Dustin Cowell who wanted to exchange links with his wife Amanda's web site. I was more than happy to oblige so I took a gander at her wares. She has the cutest handmade handbags. I love 'em. Check it out at Violet (www.violetbyamanda.com/shop/). Here are a few styles:

While perusing my favorite obsession, Target, I stumbled upon these beautiful shoes. These are perfect and what a great price ($19.99)! Go to Target (www.target.com), click on Mossimo and then shoes.
