Alicia Keys Wore It: Naeem Khan

I saw in In Style magazine that Alicia Keys wore this amazing dress by designer, Naeem Khan so I had to investigate what this designer was all about because I adore this dress. Naeem Khan was born in India and was destined to become a designer as he watched his father and grandfather design beautiful attire for the royal family and other socialites. He started his apprenticeship at Halston and took off from there. Here are my to die for favorites from his Spring 2008 Collection and Resort 2008 Collection. Clearly some wonderful wedding dress alternatives. The first one would be my ultimate wedding alternative choice. See all of his work on his web site.

Who is Stephen Burrows?

Thanks to Essence magazine, I have been introduced to the icon, Stephen Burrows and he has definitely stopped me in my tracks. He was the first African American fashion designer to achieve international acclaim. Burrows launched a ready-to-wear collection for Bonwit Teller in 1969 and later worked for Henri Bendel. He has been in the industry for many, many years. His work is amazing. See his entire collection on his site. Here are my picks:

The Beauty Overflows: Hanna Touma

OMG! I have once again stumbled upon a designer who is so amazing that I am at a loss for words. Enter Hanna Touma. He is the toast of Lebanon. His designs are much sought after in the Middle East and I completely understand why. A woman wants to make jaws drop when she enters a room and you will do just that with one of his dresses. The first dress is my absolute favorite. You can see his enter 07-08 collection here. Here are my favorites (I had so many):
