A Chic Affair, the metro area’s definitive boutique luxury consumer event for the modern bride, will take place Sunday, March 13, 2011 at The Historical Society of Washington, D.C, from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Discerning brides can view a collection of the area’s premier wedding resources, sample hors d’oeuvres, sip creative cocktails, enjoy a cake and champagne tasting, get expert advice and view a formal runway show, all before leaving with an exclusive gift bag brimming with products and special offers. This is the shows second year in Washington.
Participants in this year’s event already include such sought after resources as Bloomingdales, Brides Washington Magazine, Brides.com, Chevy Chase Bridal, Maggie Austin Cake, Georgetown Cupcake, and The Dandelion Patch. The “State of The Union” expert conversation series will include Project Runway Season 4 Winner Christian Siriano as well as Editorial Staff from Conde Nast Bridal Media and others.
This is not your average bridal show- A Chic Affair is a one of a kind bridal experience which brings together a select collection of the most lavish national brands and the most distinctive Washington area resources. The event provides brides with the latest trends and timeless elegance. The quality vendors presented in this well-edited collection ensures a sell out crowd for the show year after year.
The piece de resistance of the event, a formal runway show presentation, will be shared by two of the world’s most popular designers, provided by Chevy Chase Bridal and accompanied by luxury jewelry by an exclusive diamond partner. This year’s show, Alice in Weddingland, promises to be unlike anything you’ve seen on a runway in D.C – expect a whimsical, surprising and transformative presentation inside a custom designed tent outside the venue, facades and décor created by Gala Events, Inc, recently featured in WEtv’s Platinum Weddings.
Get your tickets now and I will see you on Sunday!
