I received a lovely email from Allison Caudle of the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation™ about an amazing event in support of Breast Cancer - the upcoming Brides Against Breast Cancer™ Charity Wedding Gown Sale. This event will take place on March 20, 21, & 22, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Tysons Corner in McLean, Virginia. (www.cptysonscorner.com) DC/MD/VA brides - here's your chance to find your perfect gown while helping someone in need. I have two aunts who are breast cancer survivors and I am sure that I am not the only person who has a loved one who has either survived or lost their battle with breast cancer. The mission of Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation™ is to grant wishes, including memory-making events, for metastatic breast cancer patients while continuing to support, educate and increase resource awareness. We are dedicated to provide a spark of joy into the lives of women and men who are losing their battle against breast cancer. The tragedy of this illness is not merely the physical and emotional burden, but also the enormous financial strain it places on a family. When insurance benefits are exhausted and medical expenses deplete bank accounts, there is often no money left for special memory-making moments, set apart from the everyday sadness and turmoil of “saying goodbye.”
