Charley Harper was brilliant. His illustrations are some of my favorite artistic works. Finally, someone is selling his work online. I was reading
Neu Black's post about Gallery One, who is selling his prints online. Finally, his work is now easily accessible for purchase. I love this print. It is called Cardinal Courtship. See more prints at
Gallery One.

I am slowly but surely losing the battle to ignore Christian Louboutin. His shoes are everywhere I turn. There isn't any escape for me. They are in every magazine that I read. Calling me. Begging me to pay attention. Luring me in with their fabulousness. How can I turn my head to shoes like these? I can't anymore. You win Christian Louboutin. I raise my white flag to your greatness. Find his shoes at
Neiman Marcus,
Saks,
Bergdorf Goodman,
Barney's,
Bluefly, and a host of other luxury retailers. Here are my favs for those brides/bridesmaids that want to be modern and push the envelope:

I have been tagged by the lovely Laura over at
Soiree Special Events. Thanks, Laura. So here are the rules:
1. Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 random and/or weird things about yourself.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
So here goes:
1. I hate clowns. Yuk.
2. I secretly watch Spongebob Squarepants when my son isn't watching it with me.
3. I work on a PC but I LOVE Macs.
4. I am the middle child.
5. I would die without my cd collection.
6. I am a magazine junkie. I can not pass the bookstore without buying magazines. I need help... LOL!
7. Montreal is my favorite place to visit (would live there if it didn't get so cold), with Barcelona and New Orleans as a close second and third.
I am tagging the following folks:
Affairs with Elegance,
Kris Color Stripes,
Nic Events,
Promised Heart,
Bridezilla,
AphroChic, and
The Bridal Bar

British designer Jasper Conran adds his own special touch to weddings with these lovely dresses available at Debenham's. I visited this store when I was in England a few years ago. But again, couldn't buy one bloody thing because of the exchange rate :-(
Here are my favorites:

Today is my birthday. I love my birthday. My parents always made a big deal out of my birthday even though it was so close to Christmas. I have not bought my special gift yet but the mall will be a calling this weekend :-)
No posts today. But I will be back tomorrow with new finds.

Maya from charitybuzz.com dropped me a line to tell me about a wonderful holiday charity auction run by charitybuzz, to benefit the New York Cares organization. New York Cares is New York City's leading volunteer organization. Each year, New York Cares enables 33,000 caring New Yorkers to volunteer at social service agencies, homeless shelters, public schools, and other deserving organizations.
Justin Lawrence, Inside Weddings, and Destination Bride has generously donated a package that includes “a five hour consultation with renown wedding planner Lisa Light of Destination Bride, a copy of "Destination Bride, A Complete Guide to Planning Your Wedding Anywhere", a one-year subscription to Inside Weddings magazine, and wedding day make-up by high-fashion, high-society make-up artist and beauty consultant, Justin Lawrence.”
The auction has been live since November 26th. You can get to it by clicking on the charitybuzz logo. The auction closes on December 12th, so get yourself in gear if you want to win!
